COMGA requests funding from the Federal Government as part of the Summer Works Canada 2008 programme.

COMGA takes part in a meeting with The Regional Action Group of the Regional Conference of CREOS. The objective is to define an integrated action plan for the protection of rivers, lakes and drinking water resources in the Outaouais 2008-2009.

A representative from The International Secretariat for Water visits COMGA to talk about A Celebration of Lakes and Rivers project. COMGA takes part in a meeting to prepare a group of students from the CEGEP New Frontier for their forthcoming three-week study trip to the Amazon.

The Gatineau Fish and Game Club representative visits COMGA to talk about the measures which could be adopted to prevent cyanobacteria outbreaks and algal bloom on 31 Mile Lake.

Trainee Camille Montagne begins a three-month session with COMGA. COMGA presents the Water Governance Project to the town planer of the Hills MRC.

The new Web site of COMGA becomes active.

COMGA presents the Water Governance Project to the town planer and the council of the Gatineau-Valley MRC with the objective of obtaining a subsidy as part of the rural pact.

Prof. Carlo Prévil of the Université de Québec à Montréal payed a visit to COMGA office in Gatineau to discuss the collaboration between the two parties on the ‘Water Governance’ project. That same day, COMGA made a request for financial assistance from the ‘Pacte Rural’ of the MRC Pontiac for the same project. |
